Literary Sinitic and Classical Chinese
Language placement exams for Fall 2024 classes will be offered in August 2024.
To register: e-mail the East Asian Language Program (eal@fas.harvard.edu). Please provide your name and year of study, and describe your prior study of literary Sinitic or classical Chinese. Indicate whether you intend to take the first- or the second-year exam (see program website for details about this). Please note that this exam is for premodern language only. Chinese (i.e. modern Chinese) has a different procedure and can be found under “Chinese” in the list of languages.
